Working with Fred was a really great experience. I was fortunate to meet Fred through some other acquaintances, and I knew him as down-to-earth and trustworthy before I discovered that he was in the diamond business.
When he and I began discussing my engagement plans, I really felt comfortable working with him. Any reputable jewelry store will be happy to educate you on how to buy a diamond (which Fred will also do), but I’ve found they then attempt to dissuade you from browsing other stores. They say things like, “We’ve educated you and can offer you a selection of in stock diamonds, so why go anywhere else?” Sound familiar?
Fred actually encourages you to browse around first to get a feel for market pricing, what you like, and what you don’t like.
As a salesman myself, I know I was a needy customer. I was a bit indecisive on the diamond while very picky on the setting. It didn’t make one bit of difference to Fred! He was always courteous and helpful through the process. One of the best things about Fred is the network he has. He’s worked in the Cincinnati area a long time, knows all the players, and partners with many of them to ensure that your vision will come together perfectly. If you’re indecisive like me, he can make recommendations (with reason) but he will never pressure you into making a decision you aren’t comfortable with.
Through Fred, I got a gorgeous GIA diamond, and we custom-designed a unique setting that Heather and I have got nothing but compliments on. I could not have received the kind of quality diamond and setting, level of customer service and support, and excellent price that Fred provided to me from anywhere else.
